Schroeder was voted into office by the German people. The German people have spoken in that regard. Germany is a nation of socialists to the core and have tremendous levels of ill will towards the US. At the rate Germany and the other "Euroweenies" are going, I wouldn't be surprised if a future conflict arises, between America and the Eurosocialists in Germany, France etc etc etc.
That polls does not help the American perspective of the German people. The difference I see with clinton is that Republicans in Congress were very vocal about their dislike for clinton and opposed his actions. I want someone from the German opposition to stand up and say they are appalled by the actions of their Chancellor in denying defensive measures to Turkey!
Not quite. The Chancellor is elected by a majority of the Bundestag (Legislature), and is always the leader of either the party that has an absolute majority or the major party that is able to negotiate their way to a majority coalition. The Social Democrats had to negotiate their way to the majority with, among other parties, the "Greens".
Germany is a nation of socialists to the core and have tremendous levels of ill will towards the US.
Agreed in part. Most of that ill will is concentrated in the old East Germans, with a smattering among the westernized "Greens".
At the rate Germany and the other "Euroweenies" are going, I wouldn't be surprised if a future conflict arises, between America and the Eurosocialists in Germany, France etc etc etc.
We have a winner.
Micheal, I respect you and your beliefs. However, time and again we have been shown that people with your (our) views are a minority in Germany today. Continue to fight the good fight, but don't ask us to forgive your countrymen for being sniveling backstabbers.
