I pray that this is the worst day you will have. I have a friend whose daughter (age 19) was activated for Desert Storm. (She had joined the Reserves to take advantage of an education-free Nurses training). She (Mom) was so "low" the day she left, I feared for her. But that was her worst day. Once she got messages from her and word from others in the Unit, she bristled up and held up well. And the day she came home, was the happiest I had ever seen my friend. And Rush said today that it will be a successful 10 day war, in his opinion.

I didn't know till Rintense pinged me to the Dose last night, that Eric had left yesterday for his deployment.

My prayers and thoughts are with him and with you and your family. I know you must be both worried and proud at the same time.

BTW, as for you not being a Hobbit....... I wasn't kissed by a president. :^)
