By Happygal and Myself - we decided to lyrically Freep Jacques Chirac instead of Hillary, with the song from Grease, "There Are Worse Things I Could Do".
And now we present "There Are Worse Things I Could Do", modified for the Paris stage:
There are worse things I could do
Than please a maniac or two
Even though the Yanks deride
I just swagger with French pride
I suppose it could be true
There are worse things I can do
I can flirt with German guys
Smile at them and bat my eyes
Lead the UN in a dance,
Give Saddam another chance
And drop rhetorical poo poos
There are worse things I could do
I could plot to stop this fight
Pretend I don't know wrong from right
Tell the Yanks that they are square
And get in George le Dubya's hair
And then take over the EU
There are worse things I could do
I could insult the Czechs and Poles
Be a genuine arsehole
I am rude and I'm abrupt
I am totally corrupt
A fact that you already knew
But to tell you something true
Is a thing I'd never do.
Regards, Ivan
