We all know what opinions are worth around here, but mine is there is no way Sadamn is going to run. Not as long as he has the French, Germans, Chinese, and Russians seemingly backing his play.

As far as "UN Peacekeepers", there better not be one American service man in a Blue Helmet in Iraq. GW follows this action and he can kiss his next election totally "Good Bye".

I don't think we should be giving the creep the opportunity. He'll simply run the country from exile. Or otherwise cause trouble. We would have no way of keeping tabs on him. How would we know he wouldn't be running terrorist ops from exile? Let's just go in and kill the guy and get it over with and quit all this yellow-bellied hand-wringing garbage!

This has been the plan all along -- the preferred result in the game. Win without firing a shot.

But the idiot dems are once again are obstructing the path. Maddie Albright today on MTP emphasized that Saddam will HAVE to be prosecuted and/or killed, or words to that effect -- presumably by some international court.

She's saying to Saddam, in effect, you can't rely on any diplomatic arrangement for quiet exile.

So -- that type of talk means it's more likely Saddam will take his chances on calling our bluff. She's an idiot!

Besides being evil, he is stupid. He won't go into exile although the U.S. and U.K. would probably allow it.

Where were you yesterday, Meek? This was profusely discussed in about 4 threads.

Saddam Hussein is a megalomaniac who has lived his whole life for the moment at hand. Like Saladin and Necuchadnezzar, he sees himself as a liberator of Jersualem. He's going nowhere before attempting to drop WMDs on Israel. He's much too old to to think of anything else.

Saddam without absolute power has no more reason to live than Michael Jackson without young boys.

The SOB had better run. No, on second thought, just hang around Baghdad #:>)

How history will tell the story:

A. The United States and Britian agreed that Saddamn had not complied with U.N. resolution 1440, had WMD, then attacked and removed Saddamn from power to prevent him from using (or allow some other terrorist) them.

B. The U.N. sent inspectors into Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction - the same WMD Saddamn said he did not have.

C. Saddamn, while insisting (and convincing France, Germany, and Belgium) he had no WMD, at the same time threatened the U.S. and Britian to destroy them WITH WMD if they attacked Iraq.

D. After the U.S. and Britian attacked Iraq, vast stores of WMD, chemical, biological, and yes - even some nuclear - were uncovered by the prevailing U.S. and British forces.

E. The Democrats in the United States had their worst election returns in the 2004 elections in that party's history.

F. George W. Bush was elected president for a second term in 2004 by the largest landslide in U.S. history.

G. Ditto for Tony Blair.

H. Hillary Clinton was defeated for his (grin) bid for reelection in New York State.
