You could be right about early March, but considering it's tanks we're talking about, they won't be needed until the air war is over (ten days or so after the start probably). Having said that, perhaps a military person could explain why we would need/want tanks prior to the end of the air war.

This air war will probably be much shorter than the last one. Last time 90% of our bombs were conventional, this time 90% are smart. In addition, I suspect we'll need to have our ground forces moving as soon as the bombing starts to get to the oil fields before Saddam torches them.
