If you are coming I have set up a pre-recorded message line to keep the info current. Jot down the number on a scrap of paper, palm pilot or Black Book where you keep all them hot numbers so you can call it when you get here for all the latest info on the rally. The number is a recording and NO your number will not be recorded. You will NOT be speaking to a human.
The main organizers of this rally are dutchy, NYC GOP CHICK and Firebrand, who is getting the permits. I am just giving them a hand. Please don't freepmail me for hotel, airline, train or tourist information. NO, I do not know where to get the best pizza in New York.
I expect all Freepers on the East Coast from Maine to Florida to attend.
I think from her attitude, she will not rule in favor of a march right past the UN. Federal lawyers were there to add that they would bring the UN Headquarters Agreement Act into effect if she ruled in favor, since certain parts of that act provide for U.S. protection of the UN.
She may, however, rule in favor of a march that goes down First Avenue and turns west at 49th Street, then goes up Sixth Avenue to Central Park, where the rally will be. Or possibly even a march on the West Side. Or no march at all and instead what the city wants: a rally in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, if the traitors want it, and a strip of First Avenue leading north from 49th Street.
Two excellent lawyers named Goldman and Donahue from the city made the case along with Assistant Chief Michael Esposito of Manhattan South, who told that he will need 6000 to 8000 officers, all told, if there is not a march, and an additional 1500 if there is a march. This includes transit and traffic. Since Midtown South does not have the resources all by itself, it will be borrowing manpower from the other precincts. Thanks a bunch, lefties, for depleting our precincts when we are on Orange Alert.
These people, with their tie-dye shirts, Palestinian scarves, and three-day-old ponytails do not seem to realize that we are already at war. They nodded like those little mechanical birds that drink from a glass of water whenever their leader made what in their warped estimation they considered to be a good point, and she (Leslie Cagan) seemed to be making things up to please the judge. These poor souls are simplistic to put it kindly. A guy in the elevator said "We have a right to protest. It's the First Amendment." Would that they were so absolutist about the Second Amendment.
I don't know how I stood four hours of it.
Oh yes, and they told me when I phoned last night that it would start at 3, then it started at 2:15--as they proceeded to try to prove how organized they were.
It looks as though we might not get an answer about where they will be until Monday, so obviously we won't know where we will be until then.
