Well now this is news... I only wish Powell had said this in his public presentations. Screw the Qatari royals, this would have been THE CLINCHER.

I'm glad we got a smoking gun! Did Powell mention the cell phone, or did he mean the terrorist cell? (I didn't see the speech, I was working.)

Did Powell mention an intercepted cell phone call from Al-Qaeda to Saddam Hussein? Does anyone have a link to this story?

Although Western operatives have failed to capture Zarqawi, his identification by General Powell may have sealed his fate, because Baghdad has insisted it has no links with al-Qa'ida. One official said: "A half hour after Powell mentioned his name, I'll wager he disappeared or was killed."

This is the best thing we could do. Name these animals to the public and make sure that Saddam and crew hear it loud and clear. That way not only will we be after them to kill them but so will he making our job even easier.

America led the interrogation, using, in the words of one official, "unspecified psychological pressure" to obtain information.

Good. I wouldn't lose a nano-second of sleep if the CIA beat him like a rented mule.

America prefers certain prisoners to be questioned by the intelligence services of countries where the rules governing the use of torture or psychological pressure are less strict.

[Cut to scene of turbaned fellow furiously leafing through a Turkish/Arabic phrasebook.] "Ah, yes, here, I have it. Mister Turkish policeman sir, plizz to remove electrodes from my genitalia. Thenk you bery mahch."

Britain's electronic eavesdropping service at GCHQ

Sounds so friendly, doesn't it? And eavesdropping "service."

"Thank you for using GCHQ. Please call again...."
