Apparently ABC hasn't been looking at the current polls. The majority of Americans back Bush. The peaceniks are the minority here because most people know that alot of the peace organizations like A.N.S.W.E.R are funded by communist/socialist organizations. You only have to look on their website to see it. . They totally bash American and Bush when they protest and that is the biggest turnoff to Americans. These peaceniks are not fooling anyone but themselves into thinking the American public really cares about them!

Sally Milbury-Steen, who heads Pacem in Terris, a mainly church-based peace group in Wilmington, Delaware said part of the problem was that the mainstream media was ignoring the peace movement and echoing the administration's position
How insane does one have to be to believe this?

"It's very alarming. The Bush administration is prepared to ignore U.S. sentiment and international sentiment," said Barbara Epstein, an expert of peace movements at the University of California, Santa Cruz and peace activist herself. Dubya isn't ignoring anything. I guess Mizz Epstein hasn't see the latest polls that show over 75% of Americans are on the 'oust Saddam' bandwagon.

I've been told many times (by leftists) that the mainstream media is "fascist" right-wing. Yes, they truly believe this ...And yes, they are certifiably insane.

Epstein agreed: "People in the current anti-war movement are people who by and large didn't vote for George W. Bush anyway. We are not his constituency," she said. Duh...

Bush has generally ignored the opposition, apparently confident he will pay no political price. That would be because they anti-war wackos are anti-U.S. and anti-Bush wackos and wouldn't vote for Bush if Satan were the candidate on the DemoncRat ticket.

Activists in the growing movement in the United States against attacking Iraq are expressing frustration at their inability to deflect President Bush from his course. Their weirdness is entertaining enough. Guys like to look at naked women.
Watching the burn-outs is like going to the zoo.
There's no reason to take them seriously, though.

The Democrats are frightened of being on the wrong side of the situationCould it be because the RATS have NO moral compass whatsoever? They're always chasing the polls. Here's a thought.....grab on to a belief, and STAND BY IT
Do what your heart says, NOT what the polls say. At least you'd be correct half the time.

"...drops to around 35 percent if respondents are asked if they would still support a war without United Nations authorization." Do you happen to know the real stat on this? I think it would be much, much higher. I love the (snicker snicker)

The media always fails to give the poll numbers of the "deep opposition" and misgivings. What a slanted report.

No, Ms. Epstein lives in Santa Cruz, la-la land.

Apparently ABC hasn't been looking at the current polls. The majority of Americans back Bush. Bingo!
"It's very alarming. The Bush administration is prepared to ignore U.S. sentiment and international sentiment,"
Bush is ignoring the far left sentiment of no war under this administration. He is responding to the US sentiment that we don't want to go to war but we recognize war as a possible necessity and will stand behind the administration's decision. The "international" sentiment he is ignoring is France, Germany, Russia, China and of course Iraq. He has the support of England, Spain, Italy, almost all of Eastern Europe as well as Israel & Pakistan of all people.
Gee another leftist liar. What a shock. [/sarcasm]

Despite polls showing deep public misgivings about attacking Iraq Which polls are these, ABC?
Every poll that I have seen published recently shows the country is largely supporting President Bush against Iraq.
No wonder I have taken ABC off my Satellite tuner. Screw Disney/ABC.

It doesnt surprise me that the Natl Council of Churches is against removing Hussein.
The Natl Council of Churches is very pro-Commie. They were the ones active in sending Elian Gonzalez back to Castro and Cuba a couple of years ago. In fact the NCC is the only religious group allowed in Commie Cuba by Castro

Yeh, its funny that people who didn't vote for a particular president, and spew venom about him at every turn, would expect him to listen to them now. Its like the NAACP complaining that Bush wouldn't attend their big meeting after running hateful commercials about him.
I never expected Clinton to care about what "conservatives" wanted.

People are tired of America-bashing. We should shout from the rooftops:
WE ARE THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!!
and people should applaud, whistle stomp cry! But no, instead you have a group of people who believe Sodumb Insane over OUR OWN PRESIDENT! And they wonder why people call them anti-American. Because they hate America! Good for Bush!
Reagan Quote: (Happy Birthday Mr. President!)
"Great nations have responsibilities to lead, and we should always be cautious of those who would lower our profile, because they might just wind up lowering our flag."
