They're even lower than you think. They don't work unless they get paid. Scott's assets are all tied up at the moment, alas.

I wouldn't worry too much about Scotty-boy slipping out of the country. Based on the international publicity he's been getting I don't think there are many places he could just melt away into without being recognized.
We had better get used to it. Interstate flight to avoid prosecution requires that he has been formally charged and a warrant has been issued for arrest. Absent that, Scotty can go where ever he likes and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
His boldness reflects his belief that Laci's body will bever be found. I think he knows the police have, at best, a weak circumstantial case against him that most likely will not strengthen over time.
This case has all the earmarks of the unsolved Smart and Ramsey cases. I'm sure the police are stymied but there is little they can do. They will bide their time hoping that he'll slip up (pillow talk with the next Amber, etc.,)and give himself away.
Let's face it. Laci is not coming home. Scott is wrapping up that part of his life and moving on. From here I don't see anything stopping him.

Is there really any chance that this pick-up that went over the cliff is related to the Peterson case? It was speculative fun at best. Turns out the truck was registered in Nevada.

Just got back from the grocery store. NE front cover says husband flunks lie detector test. No wonder his mom wouldn't answer anything about that yesterday. This is so OJ isn't it?

WOW! Does NE have a website?
To: RGSpincich
I would think they do, because someone has posted their articles before. I suspect Dan Abrams will be discussing this. Now we know why he asked the mom yesterday if SP had in fact taken a test. She didn't deny it, just refused to answer saying he should ask SP or his attorney.
Remember rumor had it OJ took a test too for his attorney and flunked.

A few weeks ago, Rita Cosby said in one of her reports, that a source had told her Scott took a lie detector test for his attorney and totally failed. Never heard it again after that day.

I would never call myself a hoe. :) Some others would. I've seen it happen. ;)

WOW! Does NE have a website?Yep, they do. Usually the stories are from the previous week's edition. Discovered this fact during all the Condit coverage.
Guess they want folks to buy the current issue.
To: clouda
I think I remember that now too. Rita has had a reporter for NE on her show. Many people discount the tabloids, but NE broke the story of Jesse Jackson's love child and other true stories. I don't know how accurate the other ones are, but NE gets it right quite a bit.

Hi all.
Been gone since 7am, and just checked in..WOW! So Scottie is in Mexico? Well, blow me over with a feather! What a surprise...
I looked over the tape from Dan Abrams interview with Jackie Peterson, Scotts Mom. It was just yesterday that she said:
"She could be anywhere, even in Canada or Mexico".
Scotts Mother KNEW Scott was in Mexico and didn't share that info with Dan? Tsk, tsk.
I think that Laci's parents should cooberate the story about Laci "wanting a new car for the baby".
Just waiting to see if he disappears off the radar for good...geeze.

Usually the first thing a defense attorney does is give his client his own test. If he fails, then he refuses a police test. I think Scott took one given by his attorney.

(Drink alot of water, Scott!)) LOL!
To: RGSpincich
Well, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he pulled a stunt like that. Considering the other things he expects people to believe, why WOULDN'T he expect people to believe that he just happened to die or disappear? Then he could start a new life! Aw, but, gee, I just don't see how he'd have any chance of collecting that life insurance money if such a thing happened!
It's tough being a plotter and schemer!
To: Lanza
That's really something! I think it probably was a test given him by this attorney. I can't help but think that if he'd taken one for the police, we'd have heard about it. Since such a test couldn't be introduced as evidence if there were ever a trial, what's to stop the police from at least telling us that he took one?
I'll be waiting to hear more. Thanks for bringing us that information. For some reason, the NE's that I always see in our supermarket stands always seem to be a week behind or so.
To: RGSpincich
Wouldn't that be something.
That would be soooo awesome if the two paths crossed.
At this point I have been hoping she is still with us and comes home I would be really angry with her but an emotion can be dealt with in time the alternative in this case is final for two human beings.

Of course he flunked the lie detector test, he flunked the FR fertilizer meter test.
Did you buy the copy of NE?

To: RGSpincich
yea he still needs a truck ...he has other bodies to move..can't do that in a Land Rover. Great point about the search in the Bay, atleast you know NASA will use the finest equipment available and this is a plus in the search for Laci...bet ole Scottie didnt count on that!!! I can't help but think he could have buried the body around the house and now he wants to MOVE ? it's called a conscience Scottie boy and it follows you wherever you go.

On the Crier Report, the news director for KFIV in Modesto was on. He said a few things, don't know how true:
Police are keeping a close eye on Scott
Word is an arrest is coming
Reports are that Scott is in San Diego now
The reporter from People Mag was on too. He met Scott, and his impression was,"a man totally devoid of emotion".

Good observation by People Magazine, to show any emotion you have to have a soul, Scott sold his to the Devil.
