[history]
SUDDENLY, everyone stopped demanding, "Where's the smoking gun?" - because Secretary of State Colin Powell came armed with plenty of ammunition as he made the case against Saddam Hussein.
"It was a 21-gun salute for anyone who was willing to listen," said military analyst Dan Goure.

"Hillary Clinton. What's her angle"
Oh, now that she realizes that we are definitely going, she wants to be on the right side.
Who would have wanted to oppose the US pressing on into Germany if they realized that:
1)We were going anyway, and
1b)There existed those damning concentration camps with the ovens, etc.

Seems like Teddy has been designated the senate drunk. His behaviour from the first day of Bush's presidency has been to make a total a$$ of himself every time he opened his mouth. His early trashing of John Ashcroft was the beginning of this new strategy of proving himself clueless and brainless.

Even an antiwar 2004 Democratic candidate, ex-Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, said Powell made a "compelling" case, though not enough for "going to war unilaterally." Not that I care, but "not unilaterally" is gradually being defined as "requiring UN approval."
As long as our friends and partners, the Brits, are with us, then this isn't unilateral. Not to mention the "gang of eight" and "the Vilnius ten" and our Aussie brethren and...
As I said, I don't care if we are the ONLY ones to act, if it's in the interest of protecting our people and our sovereignty, then let's do it.
Frankly, I think most of our military is sighing with relief at the prospect of NOT having the French on board... A diplomatic disappointment, perhaps, but not a military strategic setback, by any means!

"Compelling," said everyone from previously skeptical Democratic presidential contender Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) to Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), not to mention Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.), who didn't need further convincing. It makes them seem almost like actual Americans expecially when you compare them to the F***ing French.

Hey boob
This ain't about liberating Kuwait
In case you are unaware of the geography the Twin Towers were in the USA
We don't need NO LATERALLY when we are attacked
What part of Bushs's " USA defence doesn't depend on the approval of others " don't you understand

The headline doesn't report what they actually said:
"It was compelling.....
but we should give the inspectors more time (say, a million years.)
