The reverse of the medal features Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. The quotation from the President's Inaugural Address on January 20, 1981, in the upper field "LET US RENEW OUR FAITH AND OUR HOPE. WE HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO DREAM HEROIC DREAMS." The inscription "INAUGURATED JANUARY 20, 1981" follows the quotation. The inscription "YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK" is centered along the left lower border.
