I read "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" for the first time when I was fourteen. My social studies teacher had made a bet with me that I could not read it cover to cover - if I could, he'd let me keep the book, which had been collecting dust on the classroom's bookshelves for years. I proved him wrong, and I still have that book. It's what enabled me to recognize some things that were very wrong with today's left and avoid having anything to do with it.

I read "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich"

I've never read it, I'll have to put it on my long list of books to get around to. John Toland's biography of Hitler is an excellent read, I've read that one through several times. Gave my copy away, now wish I hadn't.
