Things are pretty bad when it takes a present day comparison to "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" to wake you up!

I read "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" for the first time when I was fourteen. My social studies teacher had made a bet with me that I could not read it cover to cover - if I could, he'd let me keep the book, which had been collecting dust on the classroom's bookshelves for years. I proved him wrong, and I still have that book. It's what enabled me to recognize some things that were very wrong with today's left and avoid having anything to do with it.
