[Sensitive Documents From North Korea the Japanese Recently Obtained]
As a service to Free Republic (and the cause of Truth, Freedom, and National Security) it is my pleasure to synopsize-translate-comment, link to the original report, and pass on to you a quite interesting report today from Tokyo, Japan. This comes through the services of Fuji Television (FNN News). It has to do with internal Communist Korean Worker's Party government documents smuggled out of North Korea which seem to show an increasing level of internal concern and nervous tension over a break up of public order (i.e. 'loss of control') and decline in socialist thought-control over average North Koreans. This may explain exactly why Kim Jong-il appears to be acting uncharacteristically bold these days, and that brinksman North Korea seems intent to "go for broke" as perhaps there seems to be few options left for the cruel despots clinging to state-terror power.
Please read on, below (from the original Japanese-languge web report).

That is an amazing picture. I'd seen smaller versions (sections of the globe) but not one big map. Those parts of Siberia and Canada sure do look lonely! And we thought there wasn't enough wilds left for the animals? Nuts!

And so have the Christians, underground. Well I hope they don't look to David Cho's church for guidance and Christian teaching!

hear hear! They are likely in the process of verifying the story now, if they have any clue what they're doing over there! (and they do.)

Good Picture! About the only other areas as dark as North Korea(It makes South Korea appear to be an island) seem to be Muslim countries.

Re #180
You raised the important point. Russia strayed because Russia did not heed Solzhenitsin's advice. I hope that N. Koreans hopefully heed his words over stupid liberals from S. Korea and all over the world, swarming in the guise of saving people.
The best way to heal the trauma of N. Koreans is to send in religious groups of various stripes to take over humanitarian efforts.
Filling the spiritual void is as important as filling hungry stomaches. That has been overlooked in the aftermath of Eastern Europe. The trauma of that level is not healed just by warm and fuzzy liberal approach and sacks of grain .

RE #154
Yes. When it comes, it will come at a light speed. Nobody will have the time to react. One crack and the regime will be shattered. When and how it will show up is difficult to predict. But it won't be long, I hope.

Not so odd. Porn pops up in cave paintings at about the same time ritual burial does. Eros & Thanatos and all that. I like the ring. "Bibles and Porn for Freedom!" :-)

Very interesting read. Hopefully it is good news, but I cannot help but to read this and view it in the same terms as many of the dictates issued by another regime that patterned itself after North Korea - the Democratic Republic of Kampuchea (Cambodia under Pol Pot). There is a haunting similarity between this dictate and many of the documents out of the Indochina nation, and in the latter instance it was a precursor to violent purges throughout the country bearing little resemblance to reason or sanity - all in the name of advancing the socialist order or in weeding out Vietnamese sympathisers.
Personally, I see this document as an excuse by Pyongyang to brutalize the people some more to ensure no one gets out of line in the event of future hostilities that, sadly, may not be that far off (though I do hope they can be averted).
I would hope it presages a disintegration of the Communist regime, but I have a much more sanguine view I'm afraid.

Well, I would agree with you that it will get much worse before it gets much better. Poor people over there. They have such a ROTTEN deal.

How do the Japanese feel the situation should be handled?
The Chinese are portrayed here as - occasionally at least - strong allies of the North Koreans. How does that look to the Japanese?

If so much of the population is heavily armed, one would think collapse would come quickly - triggered by almost anything - once discipline cracks.
