Daschle said he supported continuing the weapons inspections, but not "for too much longer." Whats Da$$hole doing, taking cues from France?

Why all this talk about a "unilateral war?" There is no such thing. Let's see...we've got Britain, Spain, Italy, Hungary, etc. Japan, New Zealand, Australia, the 10 Eastern European countries, Turkey, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan...
hardly looks unilateral to me. Don't these yahoos follow the news? Sheesh.

Ok Daschle, we agree with you. The weapons inspections may continue until our bombs start falling.

With something close to 40 nations on board now I find it intresting the "press" keeps referring to it as a UNILATERAL action. The only thing that is really becoming clear here is that the UN is becoming more and more irrellevent.

I just loved it when Powell waved the small vial of a substance, explaining that a half-teaspoon of anthrax shut down the U.S. Senate, killed two postal workers and paralyzed us. And then dead-panned that Iraq made thousands of pounds of the stuff (8500 liters confirmed and probably more since), all hidden away. Probably could have heard a pin drop in the facility.

Yes, we watched the entire program. Colin Powell presented the case for war in a most eloquent manner not to mention the overwhelming evidence he presented to the council. He is a great statesman and we were very proud of him.
Then spoke France, Germany and Iraq. Iraq called Colin Powell a liar in essence. Iraq was the only one tht we heard anyway that did not lead into their speeches by offering condolences regarding the Columbia Shuttle Crew. That was obvious. That alone is a disgrace and shows their lack of everything human. There is no hope for these people as they have no soul. They will reap what they sowed and very soon now. I suggest they all make peace with whatever they need to do 'cause their days on this earth are limited.

Sounds great! Does anybody know if and when Powell's presentation will be replayed? Thanks.

You know, I *almost* wish that the 9/11 attacks had happened in Daschle's, Feingold's and Kleagle Byrd's backyards instead of mine.
*THEN* these stupid a-holes just might understand the meaning of the phrase "imminent danger."
I am f-ing sick and tired of these unctuous, craven phonies playing politics with my life!

Why all this talk about a "unilateral war?"As you have already considered, this is clearly an obstructionist tactic, aimed at somehow achieving political gain, which is overtly dishonest and deceitful in trying to influence public opinion. What will these people say when we whip their asses and put all these illegal weapons on public display? Their statements need to be widely aired on public media over and over and over again until the next election. These types are dangerous to the integrity of our republic.

Not only about that. Larry Elder (radio talk show host) has just reminded us all that it was in 1998 that Madelaine Albright said that removal of Saddam from power was the ultimate goal, giving him a pretext to expel the inspectors. Democrats were quite happy with "regime change" as a goal in Iraq back in '98.

Whats Da$$hole doing, taking cues from France? Even worse, from German (National?) socialists. The German PM made anti-Americanism the heart and soul of his campaign. I guess little Tommy is joining him in that camp.

On the state department site, they also have the briefing materials, the pictures/slides, and the videos that he showed, including the intercepted audio with the translations. I've bookmarked it.

"He made a comprehensive case," California's Diane Feinstein said. "It was the most comprehensive case I have heard on the biological, chemical and nuclear weapons program yet, either classified or unclassified, from the administration." Iraqi spy talking on his cell phone just across the street from the U.N. to his operative walking outside the Congressional building:
Iraqi spy #1: "Did you hear our friend Diane talking about her classified briefings??
Iraqi spy #2: "Sure - you are right! That confirms it - they haven't told their congress everything yet - we have at least another month to hide the rest of the WMD."

"Now it is time for our allies to join the United States in exerting maximum pressure on Saddam to comply immediately and fully with U.N. inspectors," she said. It's getting about time for us to start bad-mouthing the UN, calling them irrelevant and too hopelessly mired in politics to be effective.
