Daschle said he supported continuing the weapons inspections, but not "for too much longer."

Why all this talk about a "unilateral war?" There is no such thing. Let's see...we've got Britain, Spain, Italy, Hungary, etc. Japan, New Zealand, Australia, the 10 Eastern European countries, Turkey, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan...

hardly looks unilateral to me. Don't these yahoos follow the news? Sheesh.

With something close to 40 nations on board now I find it intresting the "press" keeps referring to it as a UNILATERAL action. The only thing that is really becoming clear here is that the UN is becoming more and more irrellevent.

I just loved it when Powell waved the small vial of a substance, explaining that a half-teaspoon of anthrax shut down the U.S. Senate, killed two postal workers and paralyzed us. And then dead-panned that Iraq made thousands of pounds of the stuff (8500 liters confirmed and probably more since), all hidden away. Probably could have heard a pin drop in the facility.

You know, I *almost* wish that the 9/11 attacks had happened in Daschle's, Feingold's and Kleagle Byrd's backyards instead of mine.

*THEN* these stupid a-holes just might understand the meaning of the phrase "imminent danger."

I am f-ing sick and tired of these unctuous, craven phonies playing politics with my life!

"He made a comprehensive case," California's Diane Feinstein said. "It was the most comprehensive case I have heard on the biological, chemical and nuclear weapons program yet, either classified or unclassified, from the administration."

Iraqi spy talking on his cell phone just across the street from the U.N. to his operative walking outside the Congressional building:

Iraqi spy #1: "Did you hear our friend Diane talking about her classified briefings??

Iraqi spy #2: "Sure - you are right! That confirms it - they haven't told their congress everything yet - we have at least another month to hide the rest of the WMD."

"Now it is time for our allies to join the United States in exerting maximum pressure on Saddam to comply immediately and fully with U.N. inspectors," she said.

It's getting about time for us to start bad-mouthing the UN, calling them irrelevant and too hopelessly mired in politics to be effective.

Pathetic.

I heard Chris Shay on Larry King tonight. He said that they are briefed on this stuff. Jane Harmon was on too. OK - if the leadership of the House and Senate are briefed on this stuff, why do they come out now, and say, Oh, I think he made a good case (or he didn't) and act like this is the first they have heard of it. What the heck are they doing at work all day?? Do they LISTEN at ALL??
