SEOUL, South Korea, Feb. 5 North Korea said Wednesday that it had reactivated its nuclear facilities and is going ahead with their operation on a normal footing.
THE COMMUNIST COUNTRY will use the facilities to generate electricity at the present stage, an unidentified North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman said. His remarks were carried by the official KCNA news agency. The DPRK is now putting the operation of its nuclear facilities for the production of electricity on a normal footing after their restart, the spokesman said. DPRK stands for Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. The DPRK government has already solemnly declared that its nuclear activity would be limited to the peaceful purposes including the production of electricity at the present stage, the spokesman said.

North Korea is a puppet for "world communists" to try and prevent US taking out the "EVIL" in Iraq.

I wouldn't be suprised if Sadaam is juicing Kim Jong-Il to do this. I wonder what the payoff is.

They are really, really REALLY desperate to keep us from going into Iraq, aren't they, and the left is helping them by screaming and pointing to the distraction as the bigger threat.
All this does is convince me more than ever that Iraq IS the key.
To: hellinahandcart
North Korea is afraid that if America goes to war with Iraq - their money source for weapons of mass distruction is gone. But we arent' fooled!

Got to look higher up the chain of command, this is not Iraq, pulling strings alone. Who else does not want a freeing of the people of Iraq?
Look in this country, who is it that are the "PEACE" movement. Sadam is tooooooo busy moving his toys to be pulling North Korea strings. Who in the UN Security Council alone is against freeing the people of Iraq. North Korea is a puppet of Russia has been since end of WWII and still is to this day.
Look how the communist/socialist/liberals in our own country have tried to change the subject from Iraq to North Korea.
The "PEACE" movement are right about one thing it is about OIL Russian and French OIL, but note how they accuse Bush going after Iraq for oil. This is a method of operation for the communist/socialist/liberals accuse your enemy of doing the very thing you are doing.

The NK's are giving Japan all the right reasons to re-arm.

Iraq is getting it's moneys worth from the DPRK. When the US attacks Iraq I bet DPRK back tracks in a real hurry. Quite an act IMHO.
I hope Korea got it's money up front.
To: Just mythoughts
I totally agree.

We should go bomb that nuclear reactor just like Israel did to Iraq in 1981! That would be fitting tribute to Ilan for giving his life and helping to preserve millions of others at the same time!

Not announced was that at the same time, warheads on an undisclosed number of US ICBMs and SLBMs were reprogramed on various DPNK targets.
To: Stefan Stackhouse
also not reported, China applauds move of DPRK... (just a guess, but I think China has a big role in what the DPRK is doing...)

"Now, North Korea, how can you PROVE there were stealth bombers in the area when your reactor had that nasty explosion?"
Rumsfeld would have a field day with this one. If, that is, he didn't look too smug at the press briefing.

Maybe he can say, "OK, we admit it--we used our secret operative, Elvis Aron Presley, to smuggle in a suitcase nuke."
