LOL! BTW, I have been out of earshot of a TV or radio over the last 5 days.
In '62 the US was in the thick of the Cold War. The stakes then were much higher and the USSR was a far more dangerous foe. Iraq will squawk but have little to say in response.

Ok- While we are waiting, I am about to expose a gaping hole in my knowledge- (Shield your eyes if you are bashful)-After doing some research on Adlai Stevenson, it has become obvious to me that he was eloquent, if not somewhat long-winded. What exact "moment" is everyone referring to. I looked through several online biographies and such, but must have missed it.
