Peter Jennings says Powell may speak for up to 90 minutes. Other nations will speak afterward,(limited to 7 minutes) and Iraq requested, and has been invited to make comments, but has no vote.
George Tenet is sitting behind Powell.

Prediction: Powell will lay out 1441, then show how Iraq has systematically violated even
that resolution.

Resolution 1441 was NOT dealing with an innocent party!

Don't try to get between Chad and his Armadillos! He's as protective of them as Saddam is of his scuds.

1441 - One last chance. No illusions of the intent of resolution or serious consequences.

Kofi reading letter from Iraqi ambassador. He wants to be there, but won't have a vote I'm sure they can try to play the race card. No Arab country has veto power in the Security Council. They could ask for veto power.

Burden on Iraq. Inspectors are not detectives.
Powell: "We laid down tough standards for Iraq to meet".

Is that Luca Brazzi to Powell's right? Good, he should make Saddam an offer he can't refuse.

No, the guy on the right is Tenet. The guy to his left is Negroponte.
