(My head is exploding) Has Ritter agreed to speak on their behalf or are they just quoting something he said in the past?
To: DoughtyOne
I am hoping they will all (Chinese, Daschel, Feinstein, etc) learn not to try to answer any Bush strategery with canned responses. The Democrats and the Green party both tried it after the SOTU. Now the French and the Russians are trying it after Powell's speech. In both cases they look like idiots and waste our time.
Worse yet, it backs them into a corner that it is dificult to get them out of.

DU used the term "cartoons" and we just heard the Iraqi guy use the same exact term ?? Interesting I have to think those DU dummies were hearing "Khartoum" and using that to say we were using "cartoons" to make our case.

How can a person or a better yet, a country, with an ounce of self respect pretend to buy the Iraqi side of this saga after this disgraceful farce?
I would think they would feel their intelligence was insulted. But then, there are those pesky ulterior motives, aren't there?

DNC talking points, direct from Baghdad.

This is the guy who's speaking now on FOX and CNN( from Powells' transcript ),
We know that Saddam Hussein has what is called quote, a higher committee for monitoring the inspections teams, unquote. Think about that. Iraq has a high-level committee to monitor the inspectors who were sent in to monitor Iraqs disarmament.
Not to cooperate with them, not to assist them, but to spy on them and keep them from doing their jobs.
The committee reports directly to Saddam Hussein. It is headed by Iraqs vice president, Taha Yassin Ramadan. Its members include Saddam Husseins son Qusay.
This committee also includes Lieutenant General Amir al-Saadi, an adviser to Saddam. In case that name isnt immediately familiar to you, General Saadi has been the Iraqi regimes primary point of contact for Dr. Blix and Dr. ElBaradei. It was General Saadi who last fall publicly pledged that Iraq was prepared to cooperate unconditionally with inspectors. Quite the contrary, Saadis job is not to cooperate, it is to deceive; not to disarm, but to undermine the inspectors; not to support them, but to frustrate them and to make sure they learn nothing.

Let's see, Scott Ritter, known for taking out his tallywacker for 13 year old girls in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant, versus Colin Powell, former General, head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and now Secretary of State, with honours and medals enough to fill Imelda Marcos' shoe closet.
Oh yes, that's very intelligent of the Iraqis to put Ritter forward. Not bloody likely.
Regards, Ivan

I liked the original movie, "Topaz".
Topaz was the code name for the Cuban missle crisis. It was made a long time ago, and I don't know if you can even get it on video.
