[history]
Over a quiet dinner at an Indian restaurant in upstate New York, Warith Deen Umar offered his views of Islam and the Sept. 11 attacks. The hijackers should be honored as martyrs, he said. The U.S. risks further terrorism attacks because it oppresses Muslims around the world. "Without justice, there will be warfare, and it can come to this country, too," he said. The natural candidates to help press such an attack, in his view: African-Americans who embraced Islam in prison.

Well..that certainly is a good strategy. Recruit criminals for your cause. I'm sure they'll find plenty of willing criminals who will latch on to the "we hate America" line of thinking. They already feel like they're outcasts anyway (as they should...because they are CRIMINALS!).

This is an excellent article and makes a good but frightening read. What amazed me was the special treatment that Muslims have been able to get from the system. I can't imagine that any other group gets to meet without having a guard present or even nearby, for example.
They and their pressure groups are very adept at this. Note the constant references in the article to Saudi funding.
It happens in all environments. Last week I attended a conference of courtroom interpreters, where we were treated to an Arabic interpreter who told us that Muslims need special rules because of cultural reasons. Specifically, they should be allowed to confer with their interpreter (have ex parte conversations, in other words), rather than just speak and have the interpreter translate as they go along. This was to prevent cultural misunderstandings. Guess whose side the Egyptian-born interpreter was on. When the blind sheik shouted "Allah is great, victory to Allah," the interpreter translated it as "Good morning," something he had apparently agreed upon with the defendant. He even went up to the sheik after the trial and apologized to him for being unable to do more to help him. But this was permitted by the Court.
Somehow, Muslims have managed to achieve a level of institutional and media pressure that gives them an enormous advantage in our own country.

SJackson, thanks for posting this excellent article.
For close to two decades, the Nation of Islam and their al Qaeda farm team, al Fuqra, have used the prisons to recruit their dark side criminal element. Often our tax dollars have paid for these Mullahs of Hate to recruit in our prisons.

Thanks for the ping.
Yes, thanks to the ACLU, CAIR and the media, this recruitment of criminals by the Nation of Islam has been financed by our tax $'s and ignored.
One can only imagine the outcry and attack by the ACLU predators if we really investigated what has been happening in our prisons for close two decades.

Good article, and part of what we discussed last summer.
I am still convinced that they are tied into the radical environmental groups as well.
To: Miss Marple
You can bet your last $ that the Opecker Islamofacists have been financing these Nation of Islam Mosques and recruiting in the prisons.
This and the financing of the radical enviral left has been going on for close to two decades.
Hey, something positive has happened to the WSJ. I know that Al Hunt is there, has he been muted?
I have an inside contact there who knows my contempt for Hunt and his chronies. He told me not write them off and to watch the editorials and even stories like this one and the one re the support of other European leaders. He feels that the WSJ is back on track.
Of course time will tell. I told him that if they were still on track during the election of 2004. I would re subscribe.

This is the fruit of political correctness (don't judge anyone, never accuse anyone of anti-Americanism), ACLU rights-fascism, and Saudi money.
The US ambassador to Saudi Arabia ought to be discussing this with their leaders ... unfortunately even the Bush administration is probably not going to do that.

"Even Muslims who say they are against terrorism secretly admire and applaud" the hijackers, he wrote in an unpublished memoir. The Quran, he said, does not condemn terrorism against oppressors of Muslims, even if innocent people die."Finally we catach a muslim telling the truth.

Take a look at the Innerchange Freedom Initiative and support it, quite the contrast to this. This will give you a little more feeling what what Bush is talking about with "faith based initiatives".

Scary. Saudi schools and funding -- chaplains in the USMil chosen from a Saudi school.
So Jubeir says wahahahabism is an epithet? Cool.
Keep digging that hole, mullah!

Yes, the Innerchange Initiative is very good. Chuck Colson was, I think, one of the first people to warn about Islamic recruiting in prison. He said something to the effect that prisoners are fundamentally angry people, and that Islam feeds on this anger.
