No, I wasn't. But CNN sure did, and they reported it. They also had to pay Mr. Jewell a fair amount of money for their screw-up.

No, I was not. I am sorry you took it that way. I was very touched by your post and thought about what you said all day. I thought your post was in keeping with the thread. It added to the thread and was meaningful.

Please forgive me for not making myself clearer.

I sent that post with the song in regards to your posts, yes, but it was with total respect and admiration.

I am sorry if my words regarding how I took other posts by someone else seemed to reflect you. I assure it was not at all about you.

Please accept my apology, and know that my post was not at all regarding anything you said.

Would you please freepmail me or reply here?

"In 1999, the Southwest Research Institute, a non-profit laboratory in San Antonio, Texas, fired insulating foam fragments from a compressed-gas gun into thermal tiles and recorded the results with digital cameras. After the Columbia crash, NASA asked the institute not to release those results. The space agency also has tested the foam in wind tunnels and aboard a research jet."

"It seems clear at this point that the camera-equipped mechanical arm, nor the SS docking equipment should have been left behind."

Which means they would have had to leave the lab behind. Considering it was the reason for the mission that might not have been an option. As for the cause of the accident being so "obvious", only to a hand full of unqualified people with only the internet to base their decision on.
