NASA has asked that tests involving freon free foam be witheld. What are they hiding?
Article shows a NASA engineer noting the difficulties in creating the same characteristics.

"A contributing factor to the WTC collapse on 9-11 was the fire insulating foam that had been sprayed onto the steel beams during construction."
The first forty floors of the WTC used asbestos.

CharacterCounts is correct. The environmentalists already have a way out. There is no prohibition on the use of freon. You can get a waiver for critical applications. I know, I've processed those waivers.
The environmentalists will blame the engineers for not asking for a waiver.

Hey howlin,
Some more photos here. As usual, pretty bad. No captions on todays yet.
I missed the shot of the president! Arg!
To: DugwayDuke
Thanks for the update on that! I didn't realize you could get a waiver.

The first forty floors of the WTC used asbestos. Yes, I neglected to mention that that fact was key to the story. Actually, the New York Times, which has been increasingly becoming recognized as being discredited and irrelevant, reported this in detail as part of their excellent series on the engineering analysis of the structural failures of the towers.
Although the TV's in our home are tuned to the Fox News Channel more hours of the day than all other channels combined, FNC disappoints me at times. They won't go near anything that is even slightly alleged to be associated with "kookism" or possible "conspiracy" stuff. The TWA 800 case was totally ignored, despite the credibility of the evidence uncovered. Same for the OK City bombing.
I guess anything questioning EPA decisions like "safer foam" are also "out-of-bounds", even if they relegate human safety to second fiddle to Ghaia related concerns.

I thought you said you didn't get any GOOD pictures. They are fabulous.
If it's okay, I'm going to link that on the Dose......what do you say???

Actually, this is what the article (Fooman linked to) says.Regardless of what the article says, that is NOT the articles title.

Use whatever you want. I think I have 2.5 gig of bandwith on that site each month. Should be enough for a few views.
I did post the link on another thread. Note that there is one picture that looks like a tree. As Bush turned on the street this redbird landed in the tree. There were no other birds around. It was kind of weird.
The kids there were a hoot. They were down the ways from me and you could tell he made sure they saw him.

The photo has been determined to be of the edge of the payload bay. The cracks are wires duct taped to the edge
of the bay.

Regression test with the whole system.
- Refurbed orbiter, first time in service after years
- Oldest orbiter
- No docking, no eva cap, no ability to make for ISS
- No backups/crew recovery possible after in orbit
- Heaviest payload, hottest descent
- Shuttle with higher incidence of tile problems
- Old, heavier tank
- New foam, new chemistry
- Winter launch
Too many bridges. A crossed finger launch.
< sarcasm > Regression test? Hey -- we have operational experience already! Don't need one. / sarcasm >

Remember how CNN got in a little trouble over the Atlanta Olympic bombing? A guy named Richard Jewell was mistakenly described as the suspect. You're one of the idiots that believed that Jewell was the guy? What's your agenda here?

I want an apology from you! Since everything you said was incorrect

Hmm, motives? What are yours? My replies to people stand. It would of been honest of you to post their comments as well, but no. So, what's your point?
If you don't have one, then move on.

They seem to have some emotional problems. I suspect that they tie a huge part of their identy into being what they assume are super freepers. That describes you to a tee. The truth hurts, doesn't it.
To: HairOfTheDog
Nah, they are not a snake. They saw the press conference just like you and I did and when they heard the less than honest answers, they took the only action they could. Just like with Challenger.
