My understanding is that the biggest greenhouse gas is actually water (vaporized). Anthropogenic cause of warming has been estimated at around 3%. I read this somewhere (can't remember exactly where).
Also, a lot of the heat from in the Earth is from radiation. Check out junkscience.com.

I don't get to go, but I did have to travel with my Geology class to a quarry somewhere in Connecticut. For the occasion, I went out and bought a fossil pick. Haven't used it since. But, I loved it. Got some really nice quartz crystals that day. I don't drive, so fossil-hunting's not a option, but I that would be an ultimate trip for me.
