The wing is not three inches thick it is more than that by a fair amount but viewing angle is critical to perception and it takes considerable experience to know what you are seeing in high speed films. I understand everyone is trying to grapple with this but the best thing would be for NASA to complete the investigation and then we will know to the best of our ability what happened. Operate from a stance of known fact not conjecture. Many complain about the press and their idiocy, and rightfully so, they live off of conjecture and not fact, if it goes against their spin they will ignore blaring facts just to keep the spin going so don't do a press job. Take the facts and question what does it show but don't speculate on the cause until you have all the facts. That is no fun I know because those blasted facts sometime take so long to get but it is the only right way to do it.

Why wait for NASA? It will just take them many months and everyone knows they'll only cover their tails. Heck, all the aerospace engineers here on FR were able to determine that the real cause was NASA incompetency within just a couple of hours of the disaster.

Your comments are well grounded. One problem I have with remaining silent until the investigation is complete is this. If we suspect Ron Dettemore of lying and remain silent, it will be impossible to replow the ground when the investigation is complete. That would require a Congressional or Senate investigation and we all know where those wind up. Nowhere!

We were initially told by Dettemore that it wasn't possible to check the underside of the wing and it didn't matter anyway. They were doomed. Now we find that photographs do exist. It appears this guy was hedging his bets from day one.

I was one of a number of people who took a lot of heat because we said satellite photos and photos taken below the atmosphere could help out here. Well, guess what, somebody in government obviously agreed.

I'll continue to ask questions.
