Blow dried hero #4 Brian Williams was introducing 2nd man on the moon "Buzz Armstrong" Saturday morning and just kept right on going. Buzz looked like he wanted to choke the Bri Guy.

Bri Guy never even shut up in his intro, and then gave an insincere apology, when his producer had to have been screaming in his ear "Buzz Aldrin, numnuts!"

I'm sure some other numnuts put that on the teleprompter, and Bri was just reading what was ever up there. Heck if the teleprompter guy put up there, "When the shuttle exploded, 2 hamburgers, fries, and a coke, seven lives were lost," I'm sure the Bri Guy would have said it without a stumble.

I don't think so - Warp 10 would be only 1000X the SOL, which means it would take about 36 hours for a trip from Earth to Alpha Centauri to occur, and that's ignoring acceleration.

They also claimed on their website that Columbia was the second Shuttle to meet with disaster since the Challenger. They have since fixed it. I'll try to find a screenshot of it to prove it.

In the meantime, here's another screenshot of the "Faster than the speed of light" mistake:

Saturday morning, Fox news's scrolling bar at the bottom listed the shuttle's re-entry speed several times as 200,000 mph, so it's not just CNN's ignorance and fact checking that shows (but it is a lot more fun when it's CNN!).

You know, it was a hectic news day and all, but you'd think someone would have caught that line, even if it was the trained monkey punching in the graphics.

I just found a screen grab of the CNN Website Screwup. Remember, they have since fixed it since the farkers at Fark noticed it.

If you missed it, it is in the caption under the schuttle liftoff photo. "Columbia is the second shuttle to be lost since the Challenger exploded 17 years ago."
