David Clennon, star of the hit CBS television series "The Agency," said Monday that the "moral climate" of America under President Bush is similar to that which pervaded Nazi Germany. Then, apparently not satisfied with merely insulting the U.S., Clennon contended that the only difference between Bush and Adolf Hitler is that Hitler was smarter.
"I'm saying that the moral climate within the ruling class in this country is not that different from the moral climate within the ruling class of Hitler's Germany," Clennon told nationally syndicated radio host Sean Hannity.
When Hannity asked if Clennon was comparing the U.S. president to the Nazi leader, the CBS star replied, "I'm not comparing Bush to Adolf Hitler - because George Bush, for one thing, is not as smart as Adolf Hitler. And secondly George Bush has much more power than Adolf Hitler ever had."
The Hollywood peacenik said he was concerned that his own TV show had become a propaganda tool for the Bush administration's plans to make war on Iraq.
"I'm saying that we (Americans) have sunk pretty low and I'm saying that you can look at the moral climate in Germany in 1933," Clennon reiterated. "We have to ask ourselves if we found ourselves in Nazi Germany, what would we do?" he added. "Now I say, let the inspection process take its course."
Hannity told the actor that he couldn't wait to get a tape recording of his comments to Clennon's producers at the Tiffany network.

James Woods was absolutely brilliant. He made a point I never heard before. If it was only about oil, we would use neutron bombs to wipe everyone out and leave the buildings and oil wells standing.

This is the standard liberal line. I was in NYC last weekend, and I must have heard the Bush-is-Hitler line (from my Upper West Side liberal friends) at least 20 times. And most of these people were Jews, believe it or not.
What idiots. Enough to make you puke.

Actor James Woods, who was driving in his car and heard this excange between Hannity and Clennon, called in and joined the arguement, questioning Clennon and forcefully rebutting him.
Huh?? I love it! James Woods is a real live wire. It's hard to argue with Wood's near genius, MIT groomed, IQ.

well, you know the nazis murdered their way to power. It was even published in german newspapers in the late 1920's that they were doing some political murders. Once (I think 1932) they actually murdered a prominent political opponent in broad daylight with multiple witnesses. Men in nazi uniforms attacked the man pushed him to the ground and literally stomped on him until he was dead. Then, they passed a law legalizing political murders when they themselves did it. So, the average ordinary Germany had every opportunity to see the nazi evil coming down on them. After the nazis were elected (1933?) with a minority of the vote in a 3 way race the Germans had no real chance IMHO to get out of it.
Haven't we endured a period of time when political murders have been tolerated inside the US? Remember the Clinton body count? Remember TWA800? Remember OK City bombing? Remember Waco? Remember Ruby Ridge? Remember how betty currie lost 2 brothers in the week before she testified and how both brothers died in fantastic scenarios that weren't realistic? Remember the Ron Brown plane crash? Please folks. Let's be humble and remember that it can happen here.
We are just like the germans who supported the nazis in that we have two arms each and two legs each, just like those nazis. We also tolerate political murders and open corruption.

This guy sounded like he had been through an indoctrination camp. Is the new socially engeneered American?

I suspect he did it for money and status and not for political or ideological reasons.
Consider this: most hollywood stars (James Wood and some others are notable exceptions) are not particularly bright. They get caught up in the hollywood hype but have a deepseated sense that what they do doesn't really amount to much in the cosmic sense.
So to feel more relevant and in particular to impress the other shallow leftists that inhabit hollywood, they veer far to the left hoping some of the mythological talent of elitist leftists artists of the thirties (e.g. - like Picasso, Neruda, etc) will rub off on them...
They just want to get noticed, which I have now done and have put this clown on the list of artists to avoid along with the rest of the no-talent irrelevant clowns who think they are part of some "vanguard", of course they are actually promoting an elitist "paradise" which treats them with the special privleges, which as artists, they deserve ahead of people who actually work for a living...

And most of these people were Jews, believe it or not. They probably all voted for Clinton. I can't understand the logic involved here.

Leave it someone from Hollywood to tell us how low our morals have sunk. The best thing from the Jane Russell thread was the name of the panel discussion she participated in: "Hollywood Needs Adult Supervision." Can anyone make bumper stickers? I drive thru Hollywood a lot.

Propaganda? It's not as if huge populations are drawn to network TV series these days. Who is this guy kidding? It's all about cable, and network TV is losing ratings b/c of it.

Ship him off to "West Wing" if it's still on the air.

We all know that the level of historical ignorance displayed by Clennon and a lot of other young Americans is the result of forty years of "Social Studies" in the U.S. public schools: history from the Marxist perspective, neatly packaged and sold by the Zinn/Chomsky faction of academe.
As much as I loathe the bastards, I have to admire the planning and dedication it took the communists and socialists--the real change-agents, not the useful idiots--to transform a moiety of three generations of Americans into Pavlovian droids.
This is the most successful mass brainwash in history...and it's global. I know it's been talked about for decades; but to actually see it play-out is as awe-inspiring as it is distressing.
Talk about yer "mind-numbed robots". Sheesh!
Is there realistic hope of recovering some, or even most of them from their darkness? What was the success rate among the Korean POW's in deprogramming? Have the droids, like the borg, reached critical mass, and begun to replicate their kind in exponential numbers? Will they leave humanity no option but to liquidate them? Or will they defeat reason among men, and begin the end of civilization, mankind?
