I'd try but the server is maxed out. Took me 20 minutes to get in.
To: Fred Mertz
Gotta run and find a TV.

Didn't they try to file criminal charges like that against some of the contractors on the Challenger???

Once again cautioning people about picking up any debris they may find.
Says it's not toxic in any event.

Asking for all evidence. "Every last shred..." to allow them to piece the puzzle. Public should continue to alert officals.
"Please to not disturb it or touch any of the materials..."
No evidence of radioactivity of debris...
To: txradioguy
This is the thread for discussing the ongoing press conference.

No, he said it was not radioactive. He said some
of the propellants, which may still be present, are toxic.

Evidently the EPA is down there checking all the water sources.
William Readdy is now reading the statement from the families.

"I am eager for news from the people who actually know something about this!"
Unfortuneately, most of the media types that I remember that knew something about the space program retired right after the early flights of the Shuttle. Too bad they're too old now to be of use. Their logic and knowlege would sure be useful on TV during this.

Ongoing frequent briefings scheduled.....
"Families have issued statement"....reading the statement we've already read.
To: absinthe
Oh, that is correct.

Reading statement from families of Columbia--very positive and heartwarming. Talking about the great success of the mission, only cut short by minutes.
Although we grive deeply--the bold exploration of space must go on. The legacy must carry on for the benefit of our children and yours.

Here. Asking for every scrap of evidence, documents, whatever, from contractors, from the public...turn over to independent investigative agency or NASA.
Doesn't sound like a cover-up to me.
To: Lee'sGhost
It's the live thread ping list for breaking news thingys.......LOL.
I'd be glad to add you, or include you on space threads that are live.
