Democracy's key flaw is that it measures ideas by their popularity, not their merits.

And the stupidity of the U.S. voter is demonstrated time and again. Clinton's two terms and man on the street interviews prove this beyond reproach.

The lies of the environmentalists, funded by your tax dollars, and prominently displayed in the liberal media are what these uninformed voters are force fed. It takes some effort to discover where the truth is, an effort that most people are unwilling to apply. To these people the pictures of flowing rivers, majestic mountain vistas with tall trees and abundant wildlife, as depicted in the envirowienies ANWR adds, becomes ANWR in their mind. The cries of chicken little telling them the sky is falling, becomes the truth.

Taxpayer dollars are spent to prove something is wrong. If the researchers data proves nothing is wrong and this is a natural occurance, then the funding will dry up and the researchers will have to find another project. Would this cause the researchers to skew their data to prove that this is not a natural phenomenon? No, after all these are scientists seeking the truth. Their motives are not to be questioned.
