It's one reason why I quit engineering and changed to my current line of work, designing systemic solutions to problems of accountability among competing risks.

But then, since you were at Friva Las Vegas, you know that. I just wish that I had a way to cram a three hour presentation into a twenty minute speech.

Hey I liked your FRiva LV presentation. Don't let that discourage you. ;)

Again, I don't understand why we couldn't get waivers.

As I recall, we rebuilt our nuclear warheads so they would be more "environmentally friendly" (different chemical for cooling). It appears to have been exceptionally difficult to get a waiver.

This is UNreal. Did this occur on Clinton's watch? I just can't understand this illogical illogic.

It was on Clinton's watch.

Hazel O'Leary was the Secretary of Energy: The one going through and declassifying everything she could, as she put it "until they stop us". She was also caught using government funds to hire PIs to investigate reporters that said negative things about her agency, as well as several hundred thousand dollars in unauthorized travel expenses. She got a reprieve when she then started spending the funds to hire PIs to investigate people critical of Clinton.

I don't understand why we couldn't get waivers.

Goldin had his (rather large) nose so far up bubba's gluteal fold that it would have broken off had clinton stopped quickly.

At the John Glenn launch, for instance, I was there when the little man actually said, "President clinton has been the biggest supporter of the US space program of any president in history." At that point, I turned my headset volume to the max to drown out his obsequious drivel.

Goldin never asked for a waiver for that or for any of the other idiotic things we had to go through at KSC, simply because he placed his own miserable career ahead of the safety of the astronauts.

Did you know that we had to treat rainwater that had touched galvanized steel gratings as "hazardous waste"? The taxpayers paid $2 per gallon to haul millions of gallons of sump water to hazardous waste sites.

Didn't know this. At the time I asked management to ask for waivers. Got the impression that EPA wouldn't allow it.

I do agree w/you regarding the UnGoldin one. You can thank George Abbey for that Goldin goose egg....they are two of a kind. George placed people who were loyal to him (i.e., passed him info, unquestioning obedience) in the highest positions, including Goldin. This was done under Bush 41 but more specifically, it was Dan Quayle who OK'd Goldin, even after hundreds of letters from former TRW employees, were sent to Quayle advising against it. History shows he mouthed "faster, better, cheaper" but everything he touched was slower, worse, and more expensive. He preached an open door, but if you critiqued anything you were canned. He ruled through fear, IMO, same as George Abbey.

I flagged you to another thread where it appears that the EPA granted the waiver, but NASA wouldn't implement it.

From google search on P-T Technologies
see: www.pttech.net
"PT Technologies, a Division of LPS Laboratories Worldwide and located to the Northeast of Atlanta, GA, began its operations in 1984 with the introduction of the #1 selling safe alternative solvent to Trichlor 1,1,1 our d'Gel Cable & Tool Cleaner and was merged into LPS Laboratories in mid-2000."

searched for LPS Laboratories- found "about" link that states that LPS is a division of Illinois Tool Works
http://www.lpslabs.com/Products/ProductLine.asp

ITW says, "Illinois Tool Works Inc. (NYSE:ITW) designs and produces an array of highly engineered fasteners and components, equipment and consumable systems, and specialty products and equipment for customers around the world. A Fortune 200 diversified manufacturing company with more than 90 years of history, ITW's approximately 600 decentralized business units in 44 countries employ nearly 49,000 men and women who are focused on creating value-added products and innovative customer solutions."

We need to know who is on the Board of Directors and who is the CEO of each company. In addition, we need to know the relationship between each company and the Clinton donor roll.

Please post more info on the companies.
