They lied to us in 1963. They lied to us in 1968. They lied to us in 1972. They lied to us in 1978. They lied to us in 1981. They lied to us in 1986. They lied to us in 1989 and they are lieing to you now!

Excellent summary!

Is that orginal to you or is there a source or link?

Best regards,

NICS is used in EVERY firearm transfer, not just handguns, and is has just as much to do with crime as every other gun control law: NOTHING!

You are right, it is gov't revenue, though it probably does not even pay for itself, but it also is a record of every legal gun purchase. And yes, it is designed to lower handgun purchases by the hassle factor, and also long gun purchases.

I have a very long memory when it comes to being lied too. I clearly remember each incident plus many more not mentioned here.
The last line(They lied to us and they are lying to you now!)poped into my mind as I wrote it. It came from an old motion picture about the Nazis in WWll.(The Cross of Loraine).

I "carbon copied" you since you seemed to be keeping up with some of these details.

It was probably unnecessarily redundant.

'Those' guys?

Don't look now eddie, but your head is up close to where you obviously store your respect for our republic.

....your respect for our republic.

I respect the Constitution and the Supreme Court.
But obviously we don't need those guys when we can just give you a call.

So I'll ask this question:

Do you believe a law banning the anonymous sale of firearms via mail order (or online etc.) would be unconstitutional?

Not ineffective, or stupid or unnecessary or wrong headed...but unconstitutional?

Yes, I do, as such laws are a clear infringement on my RKBA's.
-- However, laws reasonably regulating the sale of arms to dangerous defectives & minors, -- by states/localities, would not be, imo.
Thus, it would be the responsibility of the seller to comply with such state/local law.

Prior to the '68 GCA, this was exactly the situation in the U.S. for mail order guns. It worked.
