I forgot to mention how the photo at the FR booth happened. McAwful and his DNC assistants / bodyguards -- there were several -- were stalking past when Terry broke stride, said something like "wait a minute, I know these whackjobs," and started looking over a few of the pictures. I was pleased to see one bodyguard flinch a bit at the Registered picture of Hillary's head on the body of a pig, but Terry kept a poker face.

Then a freeper asked him, sarcastically, "Care for a photo-op, Mr. MacAuliffe?" His assistants tried again to pull him away, but he said something about how "you have to have a sense of humor" and posed with Dio and Libertina, who were later forced to destroy their garments. Then he allowed as how that would "look good on the DNC site" and headed out.

I don't see the photo on the DNC site yet, so perhaps that last was a fib. But then again, he *is* a Democrat.

I must say McAuliffe has huge cojones to wade into a FReeper event as if he belonged there.

There's a difference between effective activism and incredibly dumb stunts that make your side look bad.

Can you imagine the publicity if a freeper had physically assaulted the leader of the DNC as he was courteously touring the booths at CPAC?
