Top Threats to U.S. Security: Hillary, France, Germany

Wes Vernon, NewsMax.com
Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003
ARLIGNTON, Va. – While the French and the Germans are undermining the U.S. in the expected war with Iraq, Sen. Hillary Clinton has positioned herself to undermine the U.S. military’s effectiveness and strength. Those charges rang out Friday at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (C-PAC), co-sponsored by NewsMax.com.

Citing allegations that Paris and Berlin (which he labeled the axis of irrelevance) had taken cash from Saddam Hussein’s murderous regime, radio talk show host and former Marine Lt. Col. Oliver North defined the “brie-eating French” as “a third-rate pathetic power.”

North recalled how the U.S. had rescued France from Nazi Germany in World War II, and how the French had fired on Americans during that conflict.

North, a longtime hero to the nation’s conservatives, said that in 1942, President Franklin Roosevelt had broadcast to France, in imperfect but clear French, that American soldiers, sailors and Marines were preparing to “rescue you.”

The cowardly French, sucking up to Hitler, repaid the U.S. by firing on Americans.

“These were the French!” North declared, “Well, we’re not fighting for the French this time.”

He also blasted journalists here at home who “somehow believe everyone is wrong except us.” But he added, “They [Iraqis] are evil, and we are the good guys.”

Hillary's P.C. Threat to the Military

Elaine Donnelly , who heads the Center for Military Preparedness (CMR), warned that Clinton, D-N.Y., would henceforth become extremely influential in reorganizing the military to fit her radical left-wing feminist agenda.

The former first lady has just joined the Senate Armed Services Committee. As such, Donnelly predicted, she will be able to review promotions of officers, members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and numerous other issues near and dear to the hearts of our fighting forces and of paramount importance to our security and the lives of millions of Americans.

Donnelly says Sen. Clinton will be well-placed to blackball military officers and top brass who don’t toe her line on such issues as putting women in hand-to-hand combat, for example.

Also, unlike former Rep. Patricia Schroeder, D-Colo., who took a highly adversarial position to the military when she served on the counterpart House Armed Services panel, Hillary Clinton has started to pose as a military supporter while not backtracking on her radical agenda one bit.

“She will be able to bargain, and say to military officers and those in authority over them, ‘I can get you what you want and help your promotion; now here’s what I want.’” Further, she will be helped along by such outside actions as a lawsuit Donnelly says has been filed in Massachusetts to force the military to draft women.

The CMR president also said Hillary could well be planning all of this for the next six years running up to a presidential run in 2008.

Donnelly criticized a recent panel that found co-ed training makes the Army less efficient, but that the Army would go ahead and continue it anyway, notwithstanding the sex scandals that have resulted.

'Axis of Jackasses'

Former FBI agent Gary Aldrich referred to anti-war activists in the U.S. as “the axis of jackasses.”

Aldrich, president of the Patrick Henry Center, whose 1996 book “Unlimited Access” exposed security breakdowns in the Clinton White House, accused leftists who hurl cheap shots at President Bush’s Iraq policy of being “more into maintaining power.”

Shouldn't Teddy Kennedy be included in this list for his contribution to (wide) open borders and illegal immegration?

Good morning, sir and BUMP!

I was reading on another post how in one poll, only 16% of the American people believe that Democrats are interested or capable of keeping America strong. Seems about 50% trust the Republicans towards that end. At least some people appear to "get it".

Still, I do worry about the committee position that Hillary has assumed. The woman is like an infection to anything she touches and our military has enough battles to fight without her attempting to "Hillarize" it. This IS the woman who attempted to socialize a full third of the American economy with "HillaryCare". The whole thing leaves me a little shakey. To top it off, with the balance of power in the Senate being on such a fine line... I shudder to think that she might gain further power.

Stock up on posterboard and markers, people. We have a lot of shouting to do when the "Hildebeast" sets her sights on the Presidency.

HILLARY! ism't waiting for 2008... she has to go in 2004.

The expiration date on her fat can says 2006.

FDR once said that Huey Long was the most dangerous man in America.

Well, HRC is right up there with him!

I believe the Marxist/Socialists justify non-agression as the workers of the world have no country. They're all in it together in their make-believe world. The bad guys would not be bad, had they been raised in wonderland instead of a world dripping with capitalistic greed and religion.

Yet, they turn a blind eye to the mass murders always necessary when implementing their paradise.

If look at the actions of the Demcrats, one is forced to conclude that individual Americans are the greatest threat. The Democrats act to disarm Americans while they affirm Iraq's right to amass weapons of mass destruction.

You have to cut Ted some slack on this. The borders have always looked a bit blurry to him.

"Let them laugh for NOW.
You and I still control more than a thousand stolen FBI files,
and because of them there will never be accountability of the IRS, INS, and FBI which we OWN."

Most legislators, once elected, may actually attempt to handle issues in a fashion which benefits the nation or their constituents. Only with Hillary!™ is it transparently obvious that every effort she makes is designed to get her ample behind parked back in the Oval Office.

more than a thousand stolen FBI files,

A handy, and poor, explanation often used for failures by the Republicans.

Too old, too worn, doesn't work.

Members of Congress don't go through background investigations like the rest of us did during military service. The 'logic' (eye roll) is that the media will expose any damaging episodes in their past.

I'd like to see all the Democrats in Congress have their pasts investigated as deeply as the Air Force did mine. I was on AFI for months and months.
