When TOM-THUMB DASCHLE is bumped out to the Senate he can get a job on public radio---he has the perfect voice for it

Wow. That's how he looked to me at the State of the Union Address. No kidding. I mentioned to those sitting with me to really look at this man and how sinister he appeared. He was way deep within himself. It was very telling indeed. Was it just me or did anyone else see him this way?

And already, polls show a chasm between Republicans and Democrats on national security issues.

And what a chasm it is, it looks to me like Republicans want to defend the US, and democrats want to defend Iraq.

what's the difference--a pig is a pig--tail and all--would a pig by any other name smell so sweet?

"What I wouldn't give for the chance to bitch-slap him. Just once."

I'll bet you can't stop after "just once"....

It would be just like potato chips......you'll just keep going!

"I like Tom and he's in a tough position here," says fellow Democrat Evan Bayh, senator from Indiana. "The base of the Democratic party is in profound disagreement with the rest of the country on this issue. And I guess for Tom not to recognize that would be political suicide."

They just don't get it, do they? My democrat friends are very quiet now.

When the democrat party finally does self-immolate, will it have been more due to Clinton (take your pick as to which one), or Daschle?

Probably, by Monday, when all the DemocRATS awake from their weekend slumber, Bush will be accused of underfunding the NASA program, what with all the tax cuts et. al. resulting in the Saturday disaster.

Hillary will proclaim that Chelsea was there waiting the return of Columbia at the Kennedy Space Center; Bill will be biting his lip for the women lost!

Watch, there will be a big political spin somewhere!

Excellent article, thanks!! I had been trying to find statements from Daschle about Iraq prior to his war on GWB... these quotes from him show clearly how his attacks are nothing more than political posturing.

Too bad it is at our country's expense :(

That's the funniest thing I've read all day. Thanks for make'n me smile on an otherwise sad, sad day.
