I don't think so. It is just like Pat Robertson after 9/11. We never had any specific exemption from the world as a result of God's largesse -- but the idea that this tragedy is a result of some sort of aggregated sins of the US is insulting to the memories of those recently departed brave souls and repulsive in the extreme.
