This was discussed at length on another thread, and on that video in question what you are seeing is not the shuttle itself but a distortion of the video camera. When the camera zooms out and re-focuses, you don't see that triangular shape anymore.
The proof was in the equipment itself and the altitude of the shuttle. There's no way in hell a home video camera (which is what FOX said it was) could see that kind of detail on the space shuttle at 200,000+ feet.
I could have sworn the back end was towards the camera and the pointy end was facing the other direction and I'm not sure any camera can get distorted that much. Not only that, does anyone know what the time correlation was in regards to lost contact and that particular shot. I would be willing to bet that not even NASA knows that yet.
