Bill Gertz wrote the defining book "The China Threat" finally published in 2000 and in the preceding years apparently no one could stop the out of control of the Clintons from selling American Security. Treason in the Ron Brown Commerce Dept. was something like Big Bucks for Bill and Hill. The rest is history and you can read it all in the Gertz book...

Secretary of Defense William Perry was a total disaster for America. A Sinophile, he reinforced his fellow-traveller and limp-wrist status when in a speech to the Chinese military he admitted that the United States was incapable of simultaneously fighting wars on two fronts, which the Chinese took as an admission that the USA would not save Taiwan's bacon should the PRC choose to attack. He then practically opened the Defense Department to Chinese penetration.
