Explosive, if true....and I tend to believe Ollie.

It certainly would explain a lot. Quite possible considering his own people call him "the Crook"...

As much as I may dislike Chirac, from a political perspective, he has a fine line to walk. Paris has the largest Arab population outside the Middle East.

A German TV Station aired a documentary about weapons business with Irak a few days ago. During one of the interviews, Tarik Aziz claimed that they never had any problems purchasing weapons. He asserted that Irak showered a lot of money on many officials of western countries, thus maintaining a sympathetic attitude towards Irak. He did not say who got money however.

Dog: I heard him say this too. He was quite clear in his statements - even after E.D. asked him to back up his statements - which he did. This statement falls right inline with another interview I saw on FoxNews the other day. Can't remember his name, but he is a former UN inspector in Iraq. I didn't catch the beginning, but the gist of his statement was they caught the French whispering to an Iraqi and were sure they were passing info. to them so they arranged to use bogus "lists" so the French would pass bad info. to Iraq. He as adament that the French were working against the inspectors and working WITH Iraq and they should never be trusted. This former inspector was also interviewed on Sean Hannity's radio show a few days ago. Sorry I don't recall his name.

Everyone who knows anything about French Presidents in general and Chirac in particular know they are whores for rent by the quarter-hour, hour, day, or year. If it was learned Chirac wasn't being paid off by Saddam, that would be major breaking news.

I heard him mention this last week on his radio show. Havent seen or heard anything else yet in the media.

Thanks for the thread, Dog. Ollie also said on Fox & Friends this morning that Saddam's son-in-law escaped to Jordan and tried to talk to OUR CIA in 1995, but the CIA said, "No thanks." Saddam's son-in-law, perhaps thinking that being married to Saddam's daughter would spare his life, went home - and was killed by his father-in-law.
Ollie said that this man probably knew more about Iraqi weapons, locations, etc., than anyone excepting Saddam. Our guys said, "No thanks."
In 1996 the Sudanese tried to give Clinton Osama, he said "No thanks."
Democrats in DC - most who served during those years had the gall to say after 9-11, "What did Bush know and when did he know it?!"
