Aren't you glad this lady is on our side? The talking heads on the Left are laughable by any measure, but especially in comparison with Ann Coulter.

The Neville Chamberlain Democrats are now claiming they didn't realize what they were voting for.

Only a Democrat could even think about being able to get away with the "I'm such an idiot I didn't realize what I was voting for!" defense. They know they're never going to be challenged for this - indeed, they'll be praised for their "conscience" and their "statesmanship."

Of course, if we had a national media that actually did its job and pointed this stupidity and duplicity out for what it is, instead of merely checking the fax machine and sicking up the daily DNC talking points, the Rats might actually have to construct a coherent argument to defend their Saddam-appeasing position. Can't have that - it's too much like work.

The only other time in my life I've heard or seen jejune used was in a Woody Allen movie.

Ann and Allen both live in Manhattan. You don't suppose... nah, couldn't be...

Her new book is supposed to be out this summer. I saw an ad for it at Amazon. The last was Slander. The new one? "Treason". lol. The subject is the left's anti-Americanism "from the cold war to the war on terror". I can't wait to get my copy.

Only a Democrat could even think about being able to get away with the "I'm such an idiot I didn't realize what I was voting for!" defense.

Well, now that they showed us how it works, maybe we can use it at the polls the next time they run for something.

It galls me that 280,000,000 people in this country send 100 of us to the United States Senate to do the work of the people, and collectively, the best they could come up with is "I didn't know what I was voting for."

Well, if you didn't know what you were voting for, maybe it's time to send someone else who does. After all, there are 279,999,900 others to choose from.

The vast majority of Democrats remained firmly in their seats

They sat on their friggin' hands!

I contend that's all a Republican needs to show as a campaign commerical from now on: Dems seated on 1/28/03 at the SOTU

What's "treason" (small t) to her. I'd like it not thrown around fast and loosely, for the Constitution defines it.

Stupidity is not a crime. Neither is ignorance.

Sedition, though....

Now that's a crime.

FYI to those who haven't read her book "Slander" yet, go out and buy or borrow it at once. Fantastic work on exposing the lies of the Left.)

"Borrow it"? Hey, go put and BUY it! We're not socialists here are we?

Heh. I think I may simply know more college-age folks than most (given that I have a number of student interns at work), and the young folks tend to be strapped for cash, so I lend out books from my library so they can get some real balance in their learning.

My favorite bit of advice for them is what a college professor imparted to me: "Never let school interfere with your education." :)
