[history]
Last Wednesday, Michele Curay-Cramer's name was on a list of more than 600 names in a newspaper advertisement in support of abortion rights.
Today, she is out of a job.
Curay-Cramer, a teacher at Ursuline Academy, an independent Catholic school for girls in Wilmington, was fired Monday by the school after school officials saw her name on a list compiled by the Coalition for Choice, an abortion-rights advocacy group that commemorated the 30th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision last week, according to a school spokesman.

Thanks for responding to that posting. I probably would have answered similiarly. However, I wasn't the one who posted the things you were responding to. That was FReeper RISU. So it was. Sorry 'bout that!

"I miss my children terribly," she said. "I'm sad because that was a big part of my life." To the fired teacher:
I miss my children, too, Ms. Curay-Cramer...
...the children that I had murdered because I thought that abortion was a matter of choice.. They are a big part of my life, too -- but not in the way they should have been. God has forgiven me, but the suffering and guilt go on.
I'm glad they fired the crap out of this lady before she could brainwash any innocent kids into thinking that a baby is a wad of tissue that can be disposed of like garbage.
Thanks for posting this.

"I miss my children terribly"
So does our nation miss the 40 million children that her precious Planned Parenthood has butchered since '73.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.

Absolutely!

"I felt fairly humiliated and beside myself about it," Curay-Cramer said. Well, your feelings are certainly all that matters here. After all, it's all about you. (And no doubt that is exactly what you taught the kids in "religion" class.)
To: hey papa
I second that prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patron of the precious unborn.

Good news bump. I'd be very surprised if the school did not have the teacher sign a "Christian Witness Statement" which is a condition of employment and which would cover these actions. Besides, Delaware is an at-will state, one of the toughest in the nation. She and her lawyer have no case, none, zero, nada. This is an update of the Stripper Mom story: after agreeing to behave by certain rules as a condition of involvement with a church organization, a woman makes lifestyle choice/public stance that is anathema to church policy/standards/dogma; after attempts to help her understand that she's not bigger than the church and that it will not bend to her, she quits in disgust/tears and tells the media; media covers the situation as if all churches should tolerate public dissent within its walls.

This sentence bears repeating:
"I miss my children terribly," she said. "I'm sad because that was a big part of my life."
This dolt probably didn't even realize how stupid this sentence sounded spewing from her pro-death-choice mouth. I can only wonder how many guilt-ridden women and men have uttered similar words after partaking of Planned Parenthood's solution to their little "problem".
This sorry excuse for a Catholic will one day stand before her maker. I wonder if she'll say, "Gee, God, I didn't realize being a Christian meant I had to follow your teachings...oops". I hope she wakes up from her spiritual coma and learns wisdom and repentance.

Thanks for contributing to the thread Coleus! Thanks for the links! On the thread that I had started (until I realized that victim soul had started a thread about it), I had that picture of her on it. My caption to the picture was emphasized in the following manner:
Michele Curay-Cramer, taught
religion and language arts at Ursuline.
They really need to screen teachers at Catholic schools, ESPECIALLY religion teachers. But I'm glad the school president realized her error and took action.

She can always work in a public school where they are more liberal about that type of thing, or -- perhaps she can get a job on California Governor Gray Davis's staff. He feels pretty much the way she does regarding abortion. They can both commiserate with each other -- she wondering why in the world a Catholic school would fire her, and he wondering why the Catholic Church wants to excommunicate him. Dolts.

"Tom Neuberger, Curay-Cramer's lawyer, said that the school had no right to dismiss her or compel her to recant because Ursuline Academy is not affiliated with the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington. Neuberger said there was no specific contract or documentation compelling Curay-Cramer to abide by the teachings of the Catholic Church.
"If they are not a deeply held religious school controlled by the bishop, then they are subject to the Civil Rights Act," he said."
The above statements are reasons why people loathe lawyers.
What's a "deeply held religious school"? What does it matter if it's a diocesan school or not?
