Course, there'll be the loonies who say that the mention of the environment is just to appease the public, while not really doing anything about it. Why do I think people need torture described? Remember Somalia? People were dying of starvation on TV. The American people said, "We've got to DO SOMETHING!" We are an image-based culture. When we see something, then, and only then, do we react. I can't wait till Bush ties Saddam and Osama. I didn't hear it tonight but maybe I missed it. I'd like to tie those two together and shoot them.
