If only I could write like John, I would be really dangerous. I am a reasonably competent writer, at least if one ignores the misspellings, but I don't ever, ever get near his consistent standard of poetry prose that in print is akin to Dawn Upshaw in voice. He has a gift, which he generously shares with us mere citizens who constantly stuggle to express ourselves with our relatively diminished gifts. He sets the standard to which we all aspire.
