"Before our kids start coming home from Iraq in body bags and women and children start dying in Baghdad, I need to know, 'What did Iraq do to us?'" the 56-year-old New Yorker asks in a 30-second television spot that will air just before the 9 p.m. speech.

Women and Children die every day in Saddam's torture prisions. I suppose Ms. Sarandon is OK with that.

Don't recall her "acting up" before her hero, Slick Willie, bombed Serbia. They hadn't done anything "to us" either.

Go find another POC movie to be in Susan. Sounds like you've got too much time on your hands.

If Bush solved world hunger tommorrow, she would be out protesting that Bush was not providing the world with enough tofu in their diet.

This should be the knockout blow of the century for such individuals.

That's what I'm thinking. I hope the ad runs on something besides CNN or no one will see it :)

Isn't it amusing what people who can recite a few lines of make believe, have convinced themselves concerning their own intelligence. Sarandon is convinced that when millions of people see her movies, they attend simply to see her. The truth is, the same moview would have been seen by just as many people if another actress had taken the role. People desire entertainment. They don't seek out Sarandon. I have never known anyone who attended a movie just to see dear Susan recite some script dialogue.

So why do these poeple think anyone would be interested in their opinions? Perhaps they sit at home glued to the television set between six and eight p.m. watching Entertainment tonight and other shows, that kneel at their feet like devotees to a cult leader. Dear Susan. Those shows are not reality any more than your movies were.

Duh! Nobody gives a fig what you think. Well that isn't exactly true. There are some sick individuals out there who dote on your every word. Even they are too sick for you to associate with.

Their celebrity gives them a voice. Their morally vain ego gives them the fuel to force their "voice" on the rest of us.

Great. Love it.

Then..........once the evidence / proof is laid out before the American people right after her "PSA", this babbling little twit will be shown for the slobbering fool that she is........in living color.

These people have no common sense.
If the United States had been plagued with this type of individual during it's infancy, there would be no United States.
They demean this nation.

Unfortunately, there will never be enough evidence for these people.

I am a morally vain movie star, I demand you listen to me!

One of the most refreshing things I read recently was a remark by Brad Pitt when asked his opinion on current events. He said something to the effect of, "how should I know? I'm just an actor." I was completely stunned by such refreshing common sense coming out of anybody who has anything to do with Hollywood.

They're in their own little world there, and they really, truly believe that they're special.

I wish I could live in the same perpetual Shangra La where Susan lives. Must be nice in that warm little make believe world.

Does anyone have access to the NYT archives from the late 1930's thru Pearl Harbor. I have seen them but it has been years. If memory erves me, these same arguments were made about Nazi Germany. After all Germany couldn't attack the U.S. It wasn't until Hitlers cohort Japan attacked us that the Gutless shut up. I wonder how many lives could have been saved if Roosevelt had stood up to Hitler?

"Ben & Jerry don't own Ben & Jerry's anymore..."

"Liberals hate wealth, they say, on the grounds of economic injustice – as though prosperity were a pizza and, if I have too many slices, you’re left with nothing but a Domino’s box to feed your family. Even Castro and Kim Il Sung know this to be nonsense. Any rich man does more for society than all the jerks pasting VISUAL WORLD PEACE bumper stickers on their cars. The worst leech of a merger and acquisitions lawyer making $500,000 a year will, even if he cheats on his taxes, put $100,000 into the public coffers. That’s $100,000 worth of education, charity, or US Marines. And the Marine Corps does more to promote world peace than all the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream ever made."
(PJ O'Rourke; "Give War A Chance")

Just proves the point that they have never had an original idea. The problem with these groups is their complaints will never be satisfied; its become too big an industry.
