plus I think she came forward to clear her name and tell her side of the story....she certainly seemed believable to me...what a terrible situation to find yourself in...

besides if he could kill his wife and unborn baby, he could kill her as well - I bet she's been very afraid for her life and her childs.

A telling QUOTE from the mgr of the hotel where the Laci Search Headquarters were:

"It's funny because last week a correspondent asked me if I had ever seen Scott cry," he said. "I thought about it, and I've seen other family members cry but I had never seen Scott cry. His demeanor was like it was empty, and he liked the attention from the media."

He never looks like a man in grief to me either, must be hard to fake when you're the killer.

The hotel manager also said Scott refused to use a back entrance to the hotel, which the hotel offered him to keep him away from the press, but he instead elected to go through the camera gauntlet.

The hotel manager also said he didn't stay very long at the "event" at the LA hotel.

I'm not sure Amber's statement can be viewed in isolation from the statement of Laci's brother. Seems to me both public statements were messages directly to Scott. Laci's brother: "He told me about the affair on February 16"; and Amber: "I did have an affair with Scott". Whether to counteract statements made by the Petersen family or to set up some type of communication with Scott - I don't know. The fact that the two press conferences were held within hours of each other is not coincidental, IMO.

I agree, 100%. Grief can take many forms: tears, quiet, sullen, withdrawn, anger...but I've never seen someone "worried to death" over where their loved one is or grieving who looked like this:

especially during a vigil. (Just my opinion, of course; this pic is utterly contemptible.....it just sickens me; it looks more like a celebration.)
