come to think of it, those palestinians didn't represent their costumes very accurately.........I didn't see an explosives strapped to those kids.

You should find out who organized the event and skewer them for their ignorance of geography.

But to blatantly state that the COUNTRY of Palestine even exists when one cannot find it on any current world map (unless of course it was printed and approved by Arafat) is flat out wrongThat my dear is what you get when you send your kids, the little ones God entrusted to you, to a publik kiddie kennel.
May be homeschooling might help, if that seems out ouf your reach, how about a Christian, God forbid your kids will hear about Yeshua, the Messaih, while getting a real education, School might be in line.

I know exactly who sponsored the event. I'm now contemplating how to handle this.
I think making sure Jews are represented at next years event is extremely important.

Raise hell about this. Call everyone and make them
suffer for it. Americans better understand that the
idea behind this kind of cuteness is the wish that
Israel no longer exist, the Jews once again scattered
to the four winds.

Wow! Isn't that scary? They are teaching your child. Must be PC for Palistinians even if there are so facts to support it.
I'm with the other lady, look into homeschooling. Bill Bennett's K12 site is a good place. I think they have virtual elementary for CA. (wish they did in MI)

I understand your problem here and do not wish to offend. But, I do see a link. The Palestinians are supported by the leftists, the democrats, in most areas. And, in most areas, Jewish voters vote overwhelmingly for the dems. Now, I undrstand that at one time the dems and the commies were hard to tell apart but the commies and the Nazis weren't. Thus, at that time, it was close to pure selfinterest for Jews to vote for dems. Today, however, the situation has done a 180 and it is clear to me that the interests of Jewish voters on domestic issues are clearly with the good guys, the Republicans, and on Israeli issues are even more clearly alligned with the Republicans.
While I agree that you should be rattlng the cages of the event organizers, I also believe that you could do much more by raising these issues and questions with other Jewish voters in your area.
I also do not understand why union members whose children will earn degrees, take risks, and strive to becaome wealthy support the left wing weasels who would put their children in chains. Or why blacks vote for the racist party, the party that will never let one of them attain a position of power and keeps them all on a plantation.

I am certainly letting my Jewish friends and leaders at my synagogue know what happened. Most of them are the type you describe but many are coming around to see that the Republicans are the party that supports the Jews.

I'm curious, and maybe this is a "dumb question", but you are talking about Israel and Jews, and Palestine and Palestinians. Would you maybe have a better chance getting your point across by saying Israel and Isrealis? I can see someone jumping on your issue by saying you are bringing religion into the discussion. I know being Jewish is cultural as well as religious, but I'd like to know what you think about using the word Israeli instead.

Well I can't refer to myself as an Israeli because I'm a red-blooded American. I just so happen to be Jewish too and my religious and cultural ties are to the state (or country) of Israel.

I once spent a few hours with Michael Medved, and he commented that his children attened a Jewish school, but that if none were available in his area he'd send them to a Christian school before public school. "I'd rather them be exposed to a religious tradition, even if it isn't their own," he said, "than be taught in a completely secular environment."

Yes, the Boyscouts and their colorguard helped with the flag salute and there were kids dressed in red white and blue carrying the American flag.
