What does the shunt have to do with anything? Do geese go for shunts in a big way?

No idea, but give this story a few days and the people on DU will say it was a flock of geese trained by bush that caused 9/11 BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Shunts are directly connected into the body and are vulnerable. If they are pulled loose, there can be bleeding. If they get dirty, there can be infection. I understand the mother being protective on a little kid with a shunt, but the whole thing still seems silly.
