Hm. On the one hand, this might get us in good stead with a non-Jewish middle eastern state, and might even get us on good paper with their citizenry.

OTOH, maybe if they didn't have this, they then couldn't afford to sit the fight out and would have to go on the offensive.

He's got his neck stuck out pretty far already with his attempts to break the status quo of Arab politics...I feared for him before, and I fear even more for him now.
