Pretty much. It's freezing here. And that's quite a statement coming from someone who likes spending her free time in a freezing ice rink!! LOL. I guess the global warming terrorists were wrong!

Good morning all. This has not been a good week for me. Very very busy. Starting next Monday I want to try and get back on track and start visiting the thread on a daily basis again. I have missed all of the cheer that the thread brings. Hope everyone has a great day.

I do believe so, Pippin.
Tonight it is expected we will get down to 10-15 degrees, which is extreme for this part of South Carolina.

After those years in Fairbanks, and several feet of snow on the ground all winter, though, I can handle it..:)))

The last two winters in base housing, we lived across the street from the elementary school, and children trekked to it across the playground behind me, creating elaborate paths through the packed snow that was easily six feet deep all over.
Seemed kinda 'normal' at the time, as did the -40 and -50 temperatures..:))

Psychologically, I was at the level where I thought 'everything would be okay' if the temperture rose to ZERO - and meant it.
Even a Florida girl does adapt.

Didn't you hear that GWB called for the cold which will produce an oil shortage which will improve public sentiment about invading Iraq..... Actually I'm surprised Dashle and Kennedy haven't accused him of this already.
