ALBANY, N.Y., Jan. 22 - Until now, former U.N. weapon's inspector Scott Ritter has declined to speak about allegations he was arrested in an Internet sex sting 19 months ago. However, NewsChannel 13 reached Ritter by phone Wednesday and for the first time he discussed the arrest and the sealed court documents.
...snip...
"The case was dismissed. Therefore it never happened," Ritter said Wednesday.
"I stood in a court of law, before a judge and an assistant district attorney, and they dismissed it," he added.
But the court of public opinion has a different view. The story of Ritter's arrest and the subsequent dismissal of his case first broke over the weekend and dominated headlines in the days that followed.
"I am deeply saddened [by all of the media attention]. Not by anything I've done though."
Ritter refused to speak to NewsChannel 13 on camera. When offered the chance to tell his side of the story on television, he replied, "I'm saying it now."

If I understand correctly, there was no charge the first time -- the cops just gave him a talking to. He copped a plea after the second incident, taking counseling in exchange for having the charge expunged from his record.

I didn't say anything about Hillary being involved, but just wait and see how it shakes out. Did Ritter condemn Bill Clinton for his Wag the Dog bombing of Iraq? Do you know the time line of Ritter's first public anti-Bush statement?
Just because an Iraqi bribed him, doesn't mean he wasn't also blackmailed. And what's the background of this American-Iraqi?
Many of the witnesses against Clinton were bribed with movie and TV contracts by Clinton's show biz friends. Some were blackmailed into silence and some were threatened.
Ickes is a far bigger player in Democrat politics than the Clintons. His job was to make sure nothing Clinton did harmed the party, all the while Ickes made policy that Clinton signed as Executive Orders.
He's the guy with all power who never has his picture taken or the Marxist Super Agent posing as a paper shuffler. He's the king-maker, string-puller, dirty trixter...whatever. That's my theory and always has been.

Not a coincidence. Most of the CTV Anchors are flaming lawyer liberals. If they could have hooked Enron and Bush together without touching Clinton, it would have been done.
Crier has now defined herself as a Hypocrite. She led the lynch mob against Westerfield from day one, labeling him a violent Pedophile because he watched kiddie porn. So Ritter isn't a Pedophile? All he needs is 6 months counseling? He's cured? It's a miracle!
Crier exposed herself today too.

Ritter voted for Bush. Unlike the RATS, however, no matter what party you support, we want evil does prosecuted.

Except that Ritter had flipped to being a Saddam asset long before this sting.. Except that we really don't know what else they may "have" on Mr. Ritter that isn't out in the open.
No reason to believe this is the first incident. I think people usually commit crimes long before they finally get caught.

Nothing stupid about it. Who can remember every anchor. I could be wrong, but seems to me she did have a show on Fox and was replaced by Paula Zahn.

Ritter had been married when they met, and he and colleagues insist that his romance with Khatiashvili began after he left Votkinsk.

"I stood in a court of law, before a judge and an assistant district attorney, and they dismissed it," he added."Translation: can I go back to Bush bashing now?
Dismissed cases are normally sealed?? Are people NORMALLY ordered by the court to undergo sex counciling over cases which are simply dismissed?? Are assistant DA's NORMALLY fired for failing to tell their bosses of a case which was simply dismissed??
Ritter, you're lying as much now as you were when you said they'd arrested A DIFFERENT William Scott Ritter.

It's a "pattern of behavior". Maybe LE should look a little closer.
To: mystery-ak
lemme add to that confusion: crier said a bush judge sealed the case but then leaked the case.

"Not a speck of shame. Probably continuing the behavior. He'll be caught again. Any bets whether he'll do time next time."Not now that all the media attention has ensured the country knows he's a sexual predator <G>

She went from Court TV and the OJ case to ABC to CNN. Don't remember she was ever at FOX.

I believe you are right! When Fox first started out, if I remember correctly, Catherine Crier joined them from CNN I think.
To: RepublicanHippy
Correct. Crier was part of Fox's original conservative line-up:
Catherine Crier.

"If he has an appetite for kids, I'm sure we will be revisiting this subject with Ritter sometime again in the future. I keep thinking of R. Kelly and all of his denials for the past few year, ....now look at him."I'm sure he's desperate to get back to Iraq so he can indulge his sick perversions in peace.

That is correct. She had the nine p.m. central slot. Her show was usually a disappointment.
