Today, we are seeing a militant backlash against men.
The good thing is, men dont give a crap.

I loved seeing this post. I figure the femmi-nazi's have done more to hurt women - including provoking a male backlash that has grown in the last 20 years. I liked it better than it was assumed that men would protect and honor womanhood and women would be respectable.
I NEVER forward a e-mail joke that bashes men.
Viva la differance..

Hehehehehe. So true.

I wonder who the ads currently on TV are aimed at. To watch just about every ad one would think that men are simply hormone driven, beer-swilling, morons.

When women come to that "biological clock" thing thay won't be able to find a male that is willing to participate.
Keep it up ladies, keep on bashing us males and soon you will find that nobody will have you.
Besides that, we still own almost everything !!! HA !!

Don't forget about the commercials that make fathers look like idiots that couldn't make toast or answer a simple question from their own kids if there lives depended on it. (and shows supermom always swooping in to save they day)

Don't forget about the commercials that make fathers look like idiotsI was commenting on the same thing last night. A recent commercial shows a family in the midst of rush of getting everyone out the door in the morning. The mother is very busy with the situation and the father is shown at the table reading the morning paper, oblivious to what is occurring around him. That's not the way it's done in my house.

but it's "Women and children first!" when the boat sinks. males are supposed to go down with the ship.
when THAT attitude changes, then things will be better.

It's far more widespread than this. I've noticed a sharp increase of blatant male-bashing in commercials. There's a Progressive Insurance commercial where a jilted girlfriend used a "voodoo" website to beat up a man during a date....a commercial which would never be tolerated if it were a cheating girlfriend who was being beaten by a man. Some companies are not stupid about it though. Dell, for instance, has been running some commercials about the "interns at Dell" and I've noticed that they've been very, very careful to poke fun at the ignorance of both the male and female interns. They've actually orchestrated the ads so they alternate between making fun of the girl and making fun of the primary guy.
There's also a ton of shows where the only person portrayed as having anything resembling a brain is a woman. All the men are, of course, stupid idiots who can't figure out anything for themselves.
The final surprise for me came last week when the Discovery Channel ran a "Difference Between The Sexes" "science" program which was very......strange.
The characterizations of the differences between the sexes was subtly sexist. One of the points I recall from the program was when they were discussing the changes that occur in the human body at puberty. After objectively describing the changes in girls, and going over some of the changes in men the narrator says "Another odd change in men is their vocal cords elongate and their voices drop".
And I'm sitting there thinking 'You know, if there are more men than women throughout history then it's NORMAL for a man's voice to change and ODD that women's voices don't drop.'
Of course, what I'm saying is as equally stupid as the original comment but the point is well taken: and these little characterizations of men being difference from women in a 'odd' way occurred throughout the program. It became pretty offensive.
And it's only going to get worse.
